An up-dated on the Restaurant Scene

 Cabrera has had some changes in the restaurant scene. Sadly , El Jardin  has been closed for good. Joey has moved to back to the states for the time being. We all very sad to see him go and wish him well with any new endeavors. There is a new  and upgraded pool hall/ restaurant that has taken the place of El Jardin. Loud music and typical restaurant fare for the Dominican. Nothing too exciting but good spot for a pizza and watching the pass.

La Strada, the best new restaurant t is located next door to the old Chori Pan.The owner,Gunther, of this new spot is involved with all aspects of this great addition to Cabrera. He has a very comfortable sitting areas where you can relax in a nice clean restaurant environment. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, with great service and decent prices. I have only had dinner there, which I had beef carpaccio which I thought was very good.There is even a wine list, though pretty limited it does have some selection. Next time you are in town you have to give it a try.
